Lewis' "Uprising" goes "Acappellooza"

Being a new group on campus certainly has its challenges. Knowing whether or not you'll get a warm response (or any response for that matter) by students and faculty alike is certainly a qualm any first year group/organization thinks about. But for Lewis' first a cappella group, "Harmonic Uprising," the overall response has been welcomed on campus by students and staff with open arms.

Hitting the books over summer vacation

Soon finals will be over and it will be time to move out of the dorms, find that summer job and do something to occupy your time. So, what are your plans: barbequing, going to the Pier, lying out on the beach…reading a book? All you have to do to enjoy a book this summer is find the right one! For all of you sports lovers out there, I recommend Peter Morris's "But Didn't We Have Fun?" This book tells the story of baseball from its conception: the toil involved in even putting a baseball together or the pride of belonging to a baseball club.

The Academy Is... rocks Lewis

With just about an hour before the doors opened to the public, the boys of Treaty of Paris and The Academy Is… were pretty relaxed upstairs at the JFK Rec. Center Fieldhouse. The Academy Is… front man, William Beckett, just finished shooting a round of hoops at the Fieldhouse before sitting down and chatting with "The Flyer.
