Two Lewis University students received the 2009 De La Salle Medallion for Exemplary Volunteer Service this past week. Daina Norusis and Eileen Mizwicki were awarded the medallions during Founders Week for their hard work in both the local community and the global community.

Three Lewis students were arrested in the early hours of the morning on April 16 after an incident involving alleged racial remarks made in a threatening manner. The students are currently banned from campus and will face a judicial board hearing.
When three residents of Lewis' North Hall hurled threatening racial remarks to other campus residents, they may not have considered that they could be arrested. On April 16, the three students were taken into custody by the Romeoville Police Department. They are barred from the Lewis campus pending on a student judicial hearing.
With the school year dwindling to an end, many students have begun studying for finals and packing up their dorm rooms. Most students will plan on spending their summer looking for a job or catching up on their tan; however, three Lewis students plan on having a summer full of experiences that they will never forget.

Lewis recently received approval at the beginning of the semester from the National Communication Association (NCA) in Washington D.C., to have a club in accordance with their organization.
